What is AlertMe Service?
AlertMe is a service to monitor your Credit Bureau file for material changes such as a new account or application for credit, which could be the indication of an ID Theft in process. AlertMe provides email alerts using information from Experian credit bureau. So if the inquiry on your credit happens to be from another credit bureau, response time may be delayed. All financial institutions are required to report credit information monthly to all three credit bureaus.

What does it cost?
AlertMe is a low cost service available as a monthly, quarterly or annual subscription. Service cost can be simply debited from your Credit Union account.
